Samsung announced its latest batch of foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, and these will be made in India. The company has confirmed that they will be manufacturing their foldable phones – Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 – in India to meet local demands.

“As part of our Powering Digital India initiative, these phones will be manufactured at our Noida factory. We are confident that Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 will help us consolidate our smartphone leadership in the country,” said JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung SWA.
The company has been manufacturing affordable, mid-range, and premium Galaxy S series smartphones in India for a while now.

Samsung began manufacturing the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in India in December, four months after their launch. With the upcoming models, Indian consumers can purchase locally manufactured “made in India” Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 improves upon the design with a new hinge mechanism and comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, among other upgrades. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes in two storage options: 256GB and 512GB, priced at Rs. 99,999 and Rs. 1,09,999, respectively.
