Samsung’s new fridge comes with a 32-inch display: All the details – Times of India

A display on a fridge isn’t really a new thing. But a 32-inch screen? Samsung’s new Bisfoque Refrigerator Family Hub Plus comes with a large touch screen display. Samsung announced the refrigerator via a press release but will be displayed at CES 2023 in Las Vegas from January 5, 2023.
What does the display do?
Family Hub is Samsung’s AI and IoT technology that makes the refrigerator more capable to provide services related to entertainment, family communication, cooking, and smart home.
According to Samsung, the new FamilyHub has been upgraded to enjoy the ‘Samsung TV Plus’ service, which allows users to watch free TV channels from over 190 in the US and 80 TV channels in Korea, in ‘PIP (Picture in picture) mode’. Users can further use the display for multitasking, such as searching for recipes while watching music channels, watching news channels, and controlling home appliances.
The 32-inch screen in the TV is optimised for portrait-format images provided by major social media platforms such as YouTube.
Not only can users monitor and control a number of devices connected to SmartThings app at a glance through big widgets, but it is also useful to intuitively use the six services of SmartThings Home Life (energy, cooking, care, home care, pet care, and clodding care).
The new Bespoke refrigerator Family Hub can also be linked with the existing OneDrive and Google Photos’ cloud to provide an expanded sharing experience. Google Photos users can download mobile Google Photos as FamilyHub or share content created in FamilyHub via Google Photos via Google Photos without any device type restrictions.
Lee Jun-hwa, vice president of the life home development division of Samsung Electronics, said, “Samsung Electronics’’ new ‘Bis Folk Refrigerator Family Hub’ provides an expanded experience as wide as a larger screen.” “In the future, FamilyHub will continue to lead the innovation and evolution of refrigerators by reflecting changing consumer usage patterns and lifestyle trends,” he added.
