Secret Invasion Marks a Change of Marvel Cinematic Universe Intro After Seven Years
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been around for more than a decade now and has seen subtle changes in how the Marvel logo shows up at the start of a movie or TV show. There has never been significant changes made to the intro, except the one in 2016 which featured some of the most iconic moments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There was also a fitting and beautiful change made by Marvel to the intro to pay tribute to Chad Boswick for Black Panther 2.
Marvel Cinematic Universe New Intro
Since 2016, the intro has mostly been the same until now. Secret Invasion, starring Samuel L. Jackson, has introduced the first major change to how the intro and logo show up at the beginning of an MCU project. The return of Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes amid a Skrull invasion taking place on Earth. Given the show’s theme and subject, the changed intro does make sense as well. The MCU is also heading to a new chapter of its long journey with newer characters, heroes and storylines to unfold.
With all that taken into account, the new MCU intro and logo duration has been changed. The new intro focuses more on the comic book pages flickering on and features fewer Marvel characters, as pointed out by Screen Rant. The extremely shortened version of the intro no longer features the moments that built the MCU at its start. It’s also understandable why Marvel decided to move on from that period of the timeline as most of those original Avengers are either dead, retired or have moved on or put aside from the limelight. This intro, if it stays, would mark a new era of Marvel Cinematic Universe.
