Seven MSC Student-Athletes Earn CoSIDA NAIA Baseball Academic All-District Team Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A total of seven Mid-South Conference baseball student-athletes were named to the CoSIDA NAIA Academic All-District Team, the national organization announced
Shawnee State’s (Ohio) Jacob Kline was listed among student-athletes in NAIA District 1 which consists of schools in (AL, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, MA, MD, ME, MI, NC NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, PR, RI, SC, VA, VT, WV). Kline is a junior information security major with a 3.92 grade point average.
Cumberlands (Ky.) Nathan Geissler, Pedro Nazaro and Bryan Leef, Thomas More’s (Ky.) Jacob Caruso, Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Tyler Maskill and UT Southern’s Hayden Wright are listed on the NAIA District 2 team which consists of schools from (AR, IL, IN, KY, LA, MS, TN).
Geissler is a graduate student with a 3.87 GPA majoring in criminal justice. Nazaro is a senior exercise & sport science major with a 3.37 GPA. Leef is a senior with a 3.48 GPA majoring in business administration.
Caruso is a sophomore business major with a 3.84 GPA. Maskill is a senior with a 3.75 GPA majoring in physical education & health. Wright is a senior business administration major with a 3.83 GPA.
The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First and second team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late July.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
