NAIA Football FirstDown PlayBook Top 25 Poll
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Seven Mid-South Conference Teams are mentioned in the third regular season NAIA Football First Down PlayBook Top 25 Poll, the NAIA announced on Monday.
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) sits atop the poll with 444 points and 18 of the 19 first-place votes. The Blue Raiders are 3-0 this season and open Bluegrass Division play Saturday against Cumberland (Tenn.).
Keiser (Fla.) moved up one spot to No. 6 after earning 349 points in the poll. The Seahawks are 2-1 and travel to Florida Memorial Saturday for their division opener.
Georgetown (Ky.) moved up one spot to No. 8. The Tigers earned 328 points in the poll and are 3-0 this season. Georgetown is back in action on Saturday when they host Pikeville (Ky.).
Reinhardt (Ga.) fell seven spots in the poll to No. 13. The Eagles earned 211 points in the poll and are 2-2 this season. Reinhardt travels to Ave Maria (Fla.) on Saturday.
Bethel (Tenn.), Faulkner (Ala.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) are all mentioned in the receiving votes section. Bethel earned 35 points, Faulkner received 33 points and Cumberlands (Ky.) earned 21 points.
Northwestern (Iowa) sits in second with 425 points while Morningside (Iowa) is third with 412 points and the final first-place vote. Grand View (Iowa) and Concordia (Mich.) round out the top 5 with 393 and 376 points, respectively.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
The next regular season poll is scheduled to come out on Monday, October 4.
