Simple One electric scooters delivery begins in Bengaluru

Simple Energy aims to deliver the first 100 units of the Simple One premium electric scooter to their owners by the end of June 2023. The company claims to have received one lakh orders for the electric scooter so far. The deliveries are being prioritised on the basis of the pre-bookings that were made by prospective customers. Simple Energy is willing to expand its presence to 160-180 touchpoints in 40-50 cities. 

Simple One electric scooter price in India

The Simple One electric scooter starts at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The top variant will set one back for Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The company will also be offering an optional 750W fast charger on the top variant. This optional accessory can be had for Rs 13,000 from September 2023 onwards.

Simple One electric scooter specifications

  • Electric motor: 8.5kW peak power output and 4.5kW nominal output. 72Nm peak torque output.
  • Battery pack: One fixed 3.3kW battery pack in the floorboard and an additional removable battery pack under the seat. The total capacity of 5kWh.
  • Range: 212km of IDC-certified range
  • Charging: Zero to 80 percent in 5 hr 54 min. Fast charging at 1.5km/min up to 80 percent.
  • Fast charging support: Yes
  • Performance: Zero to 40kmph in 2.77 seconds and a top speed of 105kmph.
  • <b”>Drive Modes: Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic. Eco is the most efficient and Sonic is the quickest.</b”>
  • Suspension: Telescopic front suspension and mono-shock rear
  • Wheels and Tyres: 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 90-section tyres
  • Brakes: Disc brakes with 200mm rotors up front and 190mm rotors at the back
  • Features:7-inch TFT dash with Bluetooth pairing, music controls, navigation, riding modes, LED lighting and riding modes.
  • Colour: Black, Red, Blue and White. Buyers can also choose from two dual-tone colours – white and black. This can be kitted with red alloy wheels and highlights.
