Sky offers incredible price promise BT can’t match but deal ends soon

Anyone looking for a new broadband deal might want to check out what Sky is currently offering its customers. The satellite TV firm has a bunch of plans that now include a price freeze for the entirety of the contract. That means those signing up for these best Sky deals won’t be hit by the usual yearly increases which are added to bills every April.

With food, energy and household bills all rising, this deal certainly sounds tempting as the price you get now won’t change for 18 months. Sky is offering a number of options and speeds that include the price freeze with its Superfast, Ultrafast, Ultrafast Plus and Gigafast all available as part of this incentive. Prices start from £25 per month for the slowest 36Mbps option with things rising to £52 for anyone wanting the ultimate 900Mbps speeds which can blast an HD movie to a TV in under 40 seconds.

If the thought of not being hit by a price hike sounds enticing then you need to act fast with Sky confirming that its cost freeze offer will come to an end on September 29.

Here are all of the broadband plans, what is included and how much they cost.

Before you sign on the dotted line, it’s worth noting that BT also has a sale that ends this week.

The UK supplier has slashed the price of its entry-level Fibre Essential speeds with things now starting from £24.99 per month – that’s a £4 saving.

This deal includes basic 35Mbps downloads which is OK for homes that don’t download huge files or stream shows in 4K. If that doesn’t sound fast enough then there is also a deal on BT’s Fibre 2 plan which offers 73Mbps speeds for £29.99 per month – that’s also a £4 saving.

Although both of these plans are currently discounted, unlike Sky, BT isn’t fixing the price which means things could go up next year when the company announces its usual price hikes.
