Skylightz Gaming Reportedly Stops BGMI Plans; Hyderabad Hunters Unveil New State Mobile Roster
Popular Indian Esports organization Skylightz Gaming might soon be closing shop on its BGMI roster, according to star Saumya “Saumraj” Raj.
As spotted by AFKGaming, Saumraj recently shared an Instagram story where he said, “Skylightz has stopped their BGMI operations in India.” The roster leader further said, “So, we are not a part of it. New journey awaits.” He also tagged his teammates in Pukar “Pukar” Singla and Tushar “GamlaBoy” Das as well.
While Skylightz Gaming has yet to formally announce its exit from BGMI, all signs point towards Saumraj’s revelations to be true, as we have no clue whether it will ever make a comeback in India following its ban earlier this year. However, the organization will continue to field its New State Mobile roster.
Speaking of New State Mobile, the Indian scene of the popular mobile Esports title has a new challenger in Hyderabad Hydras, who has announced a new 5-man roster.
The team features players like CrazyAD, LeGiT21, FraggyOG, sspro and VICTOR. Except for CrazyAD and FraggyOG, the remaining three members competed as Team Killing Sprees in The Esports Club – New State Open, where they finished 11th. Along with that, FraggyOG was also part of the event, as he competed for Aslaa Esports, who finished a spot below The Killing Sprees.
With no BGMI, it seems like the Krafton’s future is dependent on the success of New State Mobile, and it will be interesting to see how the mobile Esports scene moves in the coming months.
