Smartphone users, these are two new features YouTube is adding for you – Times of India

Google-owned video streaming app YouTube is reportedly working on rolling out two new features that will give new controls to users while watching videos.
According to a report by DroidMaze, these features are currently being tested with Android users and there is no official word as to when they will be rolled out.
The first feature that has been spotted is the option to play a video on loop. This option is already available on desktop, but there is no direct command support for this soon mobile. Android users should be able to see it by tapping on the three dot menu button.

The second feature that is reportedly coming to Android phones on the YouTube app is an option to clip videos. The report explains that using this tool viewers will be able to create 60 second video clips from existing videos to make only that part of the video shareable. This tool should be active once users see a scissors icon.
Back in April, YouTube released new options for its users to give them more choice in terms of which quality they want to stream a video in.
These were rolled out as part of a server-side update to the mobile app, giving its users more options in terms of video resolution to view a video.
YouTube now shows four options: Auto (recommended), Higher picture quality, Data saver and
Advanced.
‘Auto’ is the default option that changes the quality of the streaming in direct proportion to the bandwidth speed, ‘Higher picture quality’ — as the name suggests streams a better resolution and therefore uses more data, which is unspecified, ‘Data saver’ is the exact opposite of the former as it streams lower resolution video and uses less data and ‘Advanced’ option lets you specifically choose the resolution in which you want to stream the video.
