Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-rivalling MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset to launch on November 6th

- The teaser image shared by the company shows a processor design with eight cores, which suggests this is an octa-core SoC.
- The chipset was recently spotted on the AnTuTu benchmark platform and has reportedly achieved over 2 million points, which is said to be the highest for any MediaTek chipset.
- The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 is expected to shorten the performance gap between Qualcomm’s and MediaTek’s flagship processors.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 is expected to feature an octa-core design and is fabricated on TSMC’s 4nm architecture. Tipster DigitalChatStation claimed that MediaTek will be using a 1+3+4 core configuration, where all cores are performance-centric, without any efficiency cores. The chipset will reportedly feature 1x ARM Cortex X4 Prime Core, 3x ARM Cortex X4 cores, and 4x ARM Cortex-A720 cores.
The chipset is reported to use Immortalis G720 MC12 GPU. DCS claims the GPU performance of the Dimensity 9300 could exceed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The final report is said to be based on the clock speed.
Phones that might come with Dimensity 9300 SoC
Phones that could come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 include the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro, while the X100+ could use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The Vivo flagships will be launching in China on November 17th.
OPPO PHZ110, which is believed to be the Find X7/X7 Pro was recently spotted on Geekbench with the Dimensity 9300 chipset.
