Solo Leveling Spin-Off Webtoon Announced, Here’s Who It Will Focus On

The popular webtoon Solo Leveling is getting a sequel titled Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, and it is set to release on April 10.

The story will follow Sung Suho as he carries on the legacy of his father, Sung Jinwoo. The announcement of the webtoon was made with a trailer by KakaoPage, which you can check out below:

Solo Leveling is a supernatural hunter and fantasy action series that has been immensely successful both in Korea and internationally. The webtoon is also set to receive an anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures, which is set to release in somewhere around January, during the Winter 2024 season.

The story is about E-rank hunter Jinwoo Sung, known as the Weakest Hunter of All Mankind, as he puts his life on the line for money to pay his family’s bills. But his life changes forever when he faces off against a powerful being.

Solo Leveling is written by Chugong and illustrated by Dubu. It started in March 2018 and finished its run in December 2021 with a total of 179 chapters. Sadly, Dubu, whose real name was Seong-rak Jang, passed away shortly after the webtoon’s conclusion in July 2022. This new sequel will be the first Solo Leveling expansion to come out since the artist’s passing and will be a touching tribute to his memory.
