Sony PlayStation Store’s Most Downloaded Titles of May 2023 Revealed
Sony PlayStation Store is back again with their top monthly download stats, this time around for May 2023. These download stats span across 5 categories, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR 2, PlayStation VR and Free to Play. These categories feature metrics from and two regions, United States/Canada and Europe. Check out some of the top names that featured in the list of most downloaded games from PlayStation Store in May 2023 below.
PlayStation 5
For PlayStation 5, the top 5 downloaded games for United States/Canada included Star Wars Jedi: Survivor at first, Grand Theft Auto V at second, Dead Island 2 at third, NBA 2K23 at fourth and MLB The Show 23 at fifth. For Europe, the top 5 were pretty similar with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Grand Theft Auto V in first and second again. FIFA 23 takes the third spot with Dead Island 2 sliding to fourth and Need for Speed: Unbound in fifth.
PlayStation 4
For PlayStation 4 in the US/Canada, Hogwarts Legacy came in first, Minecraft at second, FIFA 23 at third, YFC 4 at fourth and Red Dead Redemption 2 at fifth. In terms of Europe, Hogwarts Legacy was first again with FIFA 23 moving up to second, Minecraft fell to third, GTA V jumped to fourth and Red Dead Redemption 2 was fifth again.
PlayStation VR 2 and VR
For PlayStation VR 2, US/Canada region saw Beat Saber at first, Walkabout Mini Golf at second and Red Matter 2 at third. In the EU region Beat Saber maintained its first position with Red Matter 2 rising to second and Walkabout Mini Golf falling to third.
For PlayStation VR both the regions at the same games on the first 3 spots, with Beat Saber dominating both platforms at first, Job Simulator at second and SUPERHOT VR at third.
Free to Play
Free to Play is the last category and this includes games for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. In the US/Canada region we saw Fortnite at first, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 at second and Fall Guys at third. In the EU region, Trackmania jumped to first position, with Fortnite sliding to second and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 coming in at third.
