Sony Promises Increased PS5 Supply, Teases New Games With Possible Uncharted 5 and Features in 2023 Along With PlayStation VR2

Sony PlayStation is looking at a monster year in 2023, with releases of all kinds. From consoles to VR headsets, the Japanese brand is all set to make a mark this year, with some insane titles on offer.

As part of a new spot called “Live from PS5”, the company has shared details on what to expect from the company. In a new blog post, Sony PlayStation has revealed that players will have an easier time finding and purchasing its hit PS5 console, which faced supply issues since release.

Furthermore, the company also doubled down on its release lineup for 2023, which includes games like “Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Final Fantasy XVI, Hogwarts Legacy, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4: Remake and Street Fighter 6.”

Other than that, Sony PlayStation has also stated improvements to its gaming ecosystem with the addition of the DualSense Edge wireless controller, and the PlayStation VR2, which drops next month with over 30 games at launch.

New Uncharted title teased in PlayStation spot

The “Live from PS5” spot gave fans their first glimpse at Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which releases later this year. Furthermore, we also saw a live-action presence of other marquee PlayStation franchises like God of War, Gran Turismo, Horizon and more.

Along with the several known titles, the trailer also featured an unknown footage of a young girl traversing through a cave with a flaming torch. Plus, we later see the character cleaning dust off an antiquity, which has caused fans to point towards the Uncharted franchise.

Many have theorized that the character in question is Nathan Drake’s daughter Cassie, and it’s very likely that Naughty Dog might be looking to continue the series with the latter as the new protagonist. However, at this stage, it’s merely a theory, with no concrete proof to back the claims.
