Spence has lucky escape as he emerges unharmed from horror car crash
Errol Spence was involved in yet another horrific car crash last night. But unlike the 2019 collision that left him in hospital, the WBA (super), IBF, and WBC welterweight champion came out relatively unscathed this time.
According to reports, Spence’s SUV was hit by a 14-year-old driver who had taken his parents’ vehicle out for a ride. The unidentified driver ran a red light and collided head-on with Spence’s car, which was totaled in the accident.
Taking to Instagram, Spence posted a live video showing the aftermath of the crash. “He ran the light,” Spence said on the video, showing the crumpled front end of his SUV. “F*** my whole s*** up.
“The mother f***** hit me… f***ed my leg up. It’s crazy. He ran the light. Always happen to me. I’ve seen him coming too. He ran right into me.
The pair have been in talks to face each other on multiple occasions to no avail. Most recently, last month when the fight fell apart after four months of negotiating.
Spence has not fought since his stoppage victory over Yordenis Ugas in April to unify the WBA, WBC, and IBF welterweight titles at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. There are currently no disclosed in-ring plans as of yet. However, reports suggest that Keith Thurman is the frontrunner to face Spence in early 2023.
