Spider-Man 4: Sandman Actor Has ‘Heard Rumours’ About Tobey Maguire Returning To Continue the Sam Raimi Series; Here Is What We Know
Not receiving Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire has been one of the biggest complaints expressed by the Spidey fandom. This complain was brought to light again when Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Now fans want both the former Spideys to receive another instalment for their movies, and it seems there might be some hope for Spider-Man 4 from the Sam Raimi series.
Spider-Man 4 rumours
In a recent interview with Comicbook, Spider-Man 3 actor Thomas Haden Church, who became famous for his role of the iconic Spidey villain, Sandman, shared some interesting comments related to Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4. Church reveals that he has “heard rumours” about Raimi bringing on Maguire to create a fourth instalment to the series, and if these rumours are indeed true, then Church will campaign to get at least a cameo in the upcoming movie.
This will surely come as exciting news for Spider-Man fans, seeing the original Spider-Man dawn the suit again for his one last adventure as the titular superhero. Furthermore, Raimi is actually down to make this film a possibility. However, he does not have a story yet and is not sure if Marvel and Sony will be interested in something like that at the moment.
Fans would definitely love to see Raimi’s approach to a more experienced Spidey and the villains he will be encountering at this stage in his life. Regardless, the final decision rests in the hand of Marvel and Sony, and only after their approval can this project be greenlit. What are your thoughts, should Maguire and Raimi make Spider-Man 4 or leave things be as they were?
