Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Has an Easter Egg Featuring Quake From Agents of SHIELD

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a gold mine of Easter eggs, and the latest one spotted by an eagle-eyed fan refers to Agents of SHIELD. In a scene from the film, a newspaper featuring Daisy Johnson, also known as Quake, is shown on the cover. The newspaper clipping reads, “Hero or Rogue? Police step up city wide search.”

The paper also includes a photo of Chloe Bennet, who portrayed Daisy Johnson in Agents of SHIELD. According to Comicbook.com, it is reportedly the same newspaper image used in an episode of Agents of Shield. Twitter user @dailybennet brought this Easter egg to attention. For many fans of Agents of SHIELD, this particular Easter egg holds more significance, as they hope to see Chloe Bennet arrive as Quake in the MCU.

Many fans have been theorising that Bennet will make an appearance as Quake in the Secret Invasion TV series, which stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. The first episode of the show was released on June 21. Given that the show revolves around the Skrulls, it’s not surprising that there is speculation about Quake, who played a significant role in Agents of Shield when it came to the Skrulls, fitting into the current storyline seamlessly.

Bennet was previously asked about this and in an interview with Screen Rant, she expressed her openness to returning as Quake. However, she clarified that she is not currently involved in any upcoming projects, including Secret Invasion. She added her enthusiasm about the possibility of wearing the suit again.
