Spider-Man: Live-Action Miles Morales Project in the Works Alongside Spinoff Spider-Woman Animated Film

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has finally arrived in theatres to much fanfare. The sequel to 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sees Miles Morales undertake a new multiverse adventure alongside several new Spider-People.

In IGN India’s review, we applauded the film’s beautiful visual palette to showcase the various universes that Morales and co. visit. It’s also complimented by a stellar storyline that focuses on Morales, heroism, and the mythos of Spider-Man and how each and every variant of the Marvel icon is connected to each other.

With such critical acclaim, fans can expect to see the film earn a ton of money at the box office. Similarly, it will also be creating a ton of hype for the next chapter in the story in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which debuts next year.

However, that’s not the conclusion of Sony’s fairly-new animated universe, as the studio has plans to expand in the future. According to producer Avi Arad, a Spider-Woman project involving Hailee Steinfeld’s might happen in the future (via Variety). The actor has also stated her interest in a spinioff feature film involving her character Gwen Stacy from Earth-65.

Along with that, producer Amy Pascal has also teased that Miles Morales might also make his live-action debut. It’s unclear whether he will be part of the MCU alongside Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. Moreover, Sony can always choose to use the character in a different universe, just like it did with Tom Hardy’s Venom franchise.
