Spider-Punk From Across the Spider-Verse Finds Its Way to Marvel’s Spider-Man Game as a Mod

Spider-Man fans have been enjoying recent releases, including the film Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse, which has a sequel in development. Additionally, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on October 20 this year. With the Spider-Man fever at its peak, a modder has recently added Spider-Punk from Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse to the Marvel’s Spider-Man game.

Spider-Punk in Marvel’s Spider-Man

The mod, created by modder GalanArtworks, introduces Spider-Punk from the film into the game. The mod has gained attention as the modder aims to incorporate Spider-Punk’s outline effects from the film. While the added model, developed by modder deadgunned, already showcases some animation aesthetics of the character, the outline effects seen in the film have not been implemented yet.

This mod is showcased in a video uploaded on Twitter, demonstrating its smooth functionality within the game as Spider-Punk swings around the city. In response to the video, someone expressed the desire to see Spider-Punk adopt the black and white aesthetic from Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse film. The modder replied that they are also exploring ways to incorporate that feature into the mod.

Marvel’s Spider-Man did have a Spider-Punk skin in the original game as part of the “Spidey Suit Pack” pre-order bonus. It was also made available to players with the Ultimate Edition of the game. That was just as cool, but having the Spider-Punk suit with the aesthetics from the film would definitely be a step up from it.
