Spotify could soon start showing full-length music videos

According to a report by Bloomberg, Spotify has already started talking to partners about adding full-length music videos to the app. There’s no official confirmation or announcement yet about the new plan, and also when it could potentially launch. But if it does launch, it would possibly give more competition to Spotify’s rivals.
Spotify would be joining rivals Apple Music and YouTube Music, two services that already offer full-length music videos. On Apple Music, you can find all the latest and popular music videos. It also has video interviews of artists, and live recordings from Apple Music Live.
YouTube Music has one of the most seamless integrations of audio and video on its app for YouTube Premium subscribers. It pulls all videos from the YouTube library so you can watch them on YouTube Music, and easily switch between audio and video, as well. Spotify is already the most popular music streaming service globally, and with the addition of music videos, it would definitely push the platform ahead of its rivals. But it’s too early to say how listeners will respond to the idea of watching music videos on Spotify.
It looks like Spotify has big plans since it’s also expected to finally offer high fidelity (HiFi) audio. First announced in 2021, Spotify said it would introduce HiFi audio streaming soon but the launch never took place. A recent report suggests Spotify is now planning to launch its most expensive plan yet, and this will support HiFi audio streaming.
