Coming to the topic at hand, how smooth does the game run? It seems like the game has been running alright on the consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but PC performance seems to be an issue. As spotted by GamesRadar, several people from the gaming industry have expressed their issues with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s performance on PC.
James Galizio from RPG Site has stated that the game was incredibly demanding and suffers from drops below 60FPS at 4K on 7700X, after calling it a GOTY candidate. Jeff Gerstmann suffered from crashes and pre-patch technical issues. Moreover, Tom Caswell from Gamespot stated that the game was “buggy as hell” on the PS5 before the patch dropped.
Star War Jedi: Survivor is a GOTY candidate; it’s also incredibly demanding, to the point where even a 7700X has drops below 60 FPS at 4K due to a CPU bottleneck. I had a great experience with the PCI reviewed it on, but it’s hard to ignore despite how much I enjoyed the game. https://t.co/ildqeVsV6k

I ended up kinda pausing my playthrough of Star Wars Jedi Survivor after about seven hours due to some pretty nasty pre-patch technical issues. Hoping everything is in ship-shape by the time the game comes out. It seems fantastic, but it crashed for me on PC quite a lot.

Unfortunately, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor does little to improve what most needed fixing with its predecessor Fallen Order.
Cal still feels loose to control, and while I’ve been playing on PS5 before a Day Zero patch dropped, the build I played was buggy as hell. pic.twitter.com/l6cStW5vic— Tom Caswell (@GreatBriTom) April 26, 2023
EA has announced that its first patch for Star Wars Jedi: Survivors will arrive for all platforms, which includes PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. But, the cause of concern here is that EA will be deploying more patches in the weeks ahead which will fix bugs, improve performance and add more accessibility features. Players are worried that the game will not reach its optimum performance levels until a few weeks worth of patches.
Cal’s newest journey in a galaxy far, far away has begun and we’re excited for you to experience it!
Our first patch will arrive on launch day across all platforms. In the weeks ahead, we’ll deploy patches that will:
– Fix bugs
– Improve performance
– Add more accessibility… pic.twitter.com/pUtyoGopP5— EA Star Wars (@EAStarWars) April 26, 2023
