Starfield: Bethesda Announces PC Hardware Requirements, Pre-Order Details, and More
Bethesda made quite the impact during the Starfield Direct, as it gears up to launch a new IP for the first time in 25 years.
The upcoming space-RPG title promises to be a wild and vast adventure, and Bethesda looks to have a lot to offer. Along with the gameplay and visuals, this also seems to be the case for the game’s pre-order variants.
Starfield pre-order versions and bonuses
The studio has announced that the game will be available in both physical and digital versions. Here’s everything you need to know about them.
Starfield Standard Edition
The Standard Edition features the base game, which will also be available as a Day 1 title on Xbox Game Pass, when it launches on September 6, 2023.
Starfield Premium Edition (Digital)
The Premium Edition will feature the base game, and up to five days of early access to Starfield. Players will also get the Shattered Space story expansion when it releases. Plus, players will also receive the Constellation skin pack, and access to the Starfield digital artbook and original soundtrack.
Starfield Premium Edition Upgrade (Digital)
The Premium Edition Upgrade comes with all the features of the Premium Edition, except for the base game, as players will have to purchase it separately.
Starfield Premium Edition Upgrade (Physical)
There’s also a physical version of the Premium Edition Upgrade, which includes a Steelbook display case and a Constellation patch that players can get while purchasing from participating retail stores.
Starfield Constellation Edition (Physical)
The Constellation Edition is the collector’s edition of Starfield. It comes with all the features of the Premium Edition Upgrade of Starfield alongside the base game, and a credit-stick with laser-etched game code.
Along with that, players will also get the collector’s item in the Starfield Chronomark watch & case, with the former being worn by players in the upcoming Bethesda title.
Players purchasing any pre-order variants will also earn the Old Mars Skin Pack, which features the following items:
- Laser Cutter
- Deep Mining Helmet
- Deep Mining Pack
These bonuses will also be available to Xbox Game Pass users, if they’re subscription is active. Players can redeem these items whenever they download the game.

Along with the pre-order details, the Steam page for Starfield now features important details about the PC hardware requirements.
The details suggest that Starfield will require a hefty amount of SSD storage to run properly. Here’s everything you need to know:
