The Outlast Trials
The Outlast Trials is a survival game that players can either enjoy solo or in co-op. It is developed and published by Red Barrels. The game is currently in Early Access stage and can be bought for Rs 1,300. Developers say that they are looking to release the full version of the game by the end of 2023.
The Outlast Trials is set in the era of the Cold War where human guinea pigs are involuntarily recruited by the Murkoff Corporation. To escape the tests of brainwashing and mind control, players work together in The Outlast Trials. Developers say that mandatory objectives of the game do not require co-op but working together can be “highly beneficial”.
Starship Troopers: Extermination
Starship Troopers: Extermination is a 16-player co-op FPS set on the deep-space mining colony on Planet Valaka. Players are part of the Deep Space Vanguard, an elite Special Forces branch of the Mobile Infantry. They have to fight against the Bugs to save humanity.
Starship Troopers: Extermination is also an Early Acess game. It is “a pulse-pounding, base-building, objective-grabbing co-op first-person shooter”, as per developers Offworld Industries. The game is currently available for Rs 1,100.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is a classic FPS shooter with 90’s retro shooter visuals. Players take on the role of a battle-hardened Space Marine who has to fight against the Chaos Space Marines and daemons of Chaos. This retro-style game from the popular franchise has been developed by Auroch Digital and published by Focus Entertainment. The game is currently available on Steam for Rs. 989 after a 10% discount (Rs 1,099 MRP).
Planet of Lana
Planet of Lana is about a young girl and her friend who are on a mission to save their planet. It is a cinematic puzzle adventure developed by Wishfully and published by Thunderful Publishing. The game deals with an evil force that is disrupting the careful balance between humans, nature and animals. The game pits players in unique companion-based gameplay as they solve puzzles to save the planet. Planet of Lana is available for Rs. 792 on Steam after a 10% discount on its MRP.
Darkest Dungeon II
Darkest Dungeon II is a roguelike developed and published by Red Hook Studios. It is a “road trip” game where you can team up with up to three friends, grab a stagecoach and fight your way through the chaos. Darkest Dungeon II is available on Steam for Rs. 1,600. This turn-based combat game features a variety of heroes, skills, powers, items and more to choose and combine to create the perfect team.
Town of Salem 2
Town of Salem 2 is all about players working together to defeat their opponents. Players can join up to 14 other players online to play Town of Salem 2. It is a game about finding killers, taking down the Town, and several other forms of duties to emerge victorious. There are many roles for players to take on and several factions to choose from including the Coven, Neutral and Apocalypse.
Town of Salem 2 is an Early Access game by BlankMediaGames. It will be fully launched by the end of August, as per developers. The full version will come with weekly rewards and the Daily Brew (Cauldron) system. Currently, the game is available on Steam for Rs. 432 after a 10% discount.
Railway Empire 2
Railway Empire 2 is set in the early 1800s where players have control over a small railway company. The motive of the game is to turn the small business into to a big one through smart expansion. Railway Empire 2 is developed by Gaming Minds Studios and published by Kalypso Media. Railway Empire 2 features 50 different locomotives to choose from. The sequel has bigger and more detailed maps with bridges that can hold up to 4 tracks. Expandable train stations can now have up to 8 tracks. Railway Empire 2 is listed on Steam for Rs. 2,999.
Bread & Fred
Bread & Fred is a co-op platformer from developer SandCastles Studio and published by Apogee Entertainment. In Bread & Fred, two players have to work together by jumping and climbing to the top of a snowy mountain. Players take on the role of both Bread and Fred in this game. The game supports two-player mode from the same PC. Peer-2-Peer multiplayer mode is not ready yet, said the developers but will arrive in June with an update.
