Steven Spielberg uses an iPhone to shoot his first music video – Times of India
World-renowned film director Steven Spielberg has shot a music video using just an iPhone, as per a report by the Creative Bloq. This is the first time he has shot a music video. He partnered with British-American musician Marcus Mumford for the same and filmed his first solo song live.
Spielberg had some help while taking the video, with his wife Kate Capshaw assisting him as the producer and art director for the video. Also, he shot the whole video in a single take while sitting on a chair with wheels and moving around a high school gymnasium.
The video was taken with a black and white filter. The song’s called Cannibal.

Marcus took to Twitter to celebrate his live performance being filmed by none other than Steven Spielberg himself.

There has been no mention of the particular iPhone model that was used to film the music video. Spielberg has earlier collaborated with Apple for the show ‘Amazing Stories’ but there is no such case with Cannibal.
This may be the first music video shot by Spielberg and that too using an iPhone but he is not the first one to do so. Numerous artists and big names from the film industry have used the iPhone for their video content in the past. For example, Selena Gomez partnered with Apple in 2019 for the music video of her song ‘Lose You To Love Me’. An iPhone 11 Pro was used to shoot the music video. The same iPhone was used to shoot the music video for Lady Gaga’s ‘Stupid Love’.
