Street Fighter 6 Game-Breaking Throw Escape Exploit Reportedly Banned by Capcom for Upcoming Tournaments

Street Fighter 6 was released this month and someone has already discovered an extremely meta technique. This technique allows a player to dodge any incoming throws. It is such an extremely overpowered trick that calling this a meta technique would be an understatement. This game-breaking trick so far has so no counter and Capcom has even banned players from using it ahead of an esports tournament.

Street Fighter 6 Throw Escape Bug

The technique was discovered by Twitter user Chinatown. The reason this technique is so powerful is due to how foolproof its use is. Players can usually block attacks which prompts them to go for a throw. If the opponent tries to throw you, this button combination found by Chinatown simply allows players to break out of the throw. Crazily enough, this technique works with every character and against any character.

It becomes seemingly impossible to break down a player’s defense, thanks to this technique. However, VGC247’s Connor Makar explains that the only way left to break this down is through overheard attacks and a drive rush. However, a player can react in time to deal with both of these. So, there is bound to be extreme difficulty in dealing with this technique.

Capcom Cup is up next on the calendar and the company has made it clear that players cannot use this exploit. Currently, Capcom developers are currently investigating this situation.
