Crunchyroll Games has announced Street Fighter: Duel for iOS and Android. It is a free-to-play 2D brawling game featuring iconic stages from the franchise’s past.

In this game’s story mode, players will recruit and level up characters from the franchise to fight against Seth and Shadaloo’s mech army. There are more than 40 different characters to collect, such as Ryu and Chun-Li, as well as exclusive character skins in the game. Players can also go online and battle others.

Players can build their own team of three fighters and level them to learn new combos and abilities. Additionally, players can either engage directly with its real-time RPG combat with their characters or kick back and relax with the auto-battle function.

“Street Fighter has been an iconic game for generations, and we know anime fans love to go on exciting adventures with beloved characters,” explained Crunchyroll boss Terry Li. “We’re excited to collaborate with Capcom to bring Street Fighter: Duel and its incredible roster of iconic fighters to anime and gaming fans alike.”

Those who pre-register will earn in-game currency, but the amount depends on how many people sign up before it releases. The game will launch in February and pre-registration is now open in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

There wasn’t a specified release date for Street Fighter: Duel other than February, but fans can also look forward to Street Fighter 6 when it arrives later this year on June 6.
