Suzuki e-Burgman electric scooter with swappable battery fully unveiled
Suzuki e-Burgman fully unveiled ahead of its India debut
The Suzuki e-Burgman electric scooter has been spied testing in India for some time now. The electric scooter looks identical to its ICE-powered sibling. The Suzuki e-Burgman measures 1,825 mm in length, 765 mm in width and 1,140 mm in height. It tips the scale at 147 kg, which is about 36kg heavier than the outgoing Suzuki Burgman Street EX ICE-powered scooter.
Powering the Suzuki e-Burgman electric scooter is an AC synchronous electric motor that has a peak power output of 5.36 BHP and a peak torque output of 18 Nm. This electric scooter derives juice from a lithium-ion battery pack. Suzuki claims that the e-Burgman electric scooter can get a range of 44km when riding on flat land at a speed of 60kmph. Given that Indian cities and towns have a lower average speed and brake energy regeneration can recoup some lost range, the Suzuki e-Burgman electric scooter can be more in the real world.
Suzuki e-Burgman electric scooter is also compatible with swapping batteries at Honda Mobile Power Pack e: swapping stations. This could come in handy for interested buyers as Honda increases its EV foothold in India. The electric scooter is currently undergoing tests in the Jonan area of Tokyo which is going to continue till June 2023. However, there is no word on a launch timeline.
