Sweet Tooth Season 2 Arrives in April
Netflix has shared a first look at Sweet Tooth Season 2 and announced a premiere date of April 27, 2023.
Seven images of the new season were shared, showing Gus (Christian Convery) alongside his band of hybrids as they deal with the challenges of being trapped in General Abbot’s (Neil Sandilands) prison.
“Looking to consolidate power by finding a cure, Abbot uses the children as fodder for the experiments of captive Dr Aditya Singh (Adeel Akhtar), who’s racing to save his infected wife Rani (Aliza Vellani),” reads the official plot synopsis.
“To protect his friends, Gus agrees to help Dr Singh, beginning a dark journey into his origins and his mother Birdie’s (Amy Seimetz) role in the events leading up to The Great Crumble.”
Jim Mickle acts as writer, director, showrunner, and executive producer, joined in the latter role by Robert Downey Jr, Susan Downey, Amanda Burrell, and Linda Moran.
In our 5/10 review of the first season, IGN said: “Netflix’s Sweet Tooth, based on the Vertigo comic series, is a wide-eyed adventure that doesn’t live up to its darker, more complicated source material.”
Ryan Dinsdale is an IGN freelancer and acting UK news editor. He’ll talk about The Witcher all day.
