Tata Motors partners with Oracle to improve cloud infrastructure – Times of India
Tata Motors’ Dealer Management System: More details
Tata Motors’ Dealer Management System (DMS) serves a customer base of 60,000 users. This system supports several aspects of the company’s business including pre-sales, sales, and after-sales market across all segments of passenger and commercial vehicles.
The Dealer Management System supports both electric and conventional fuel vehicles. It is crucial for the company to manage its fleet capacity and spare parts, while also serving as a unified platform for customer feedback.
How will this partnership help Tata Motors
According to Tata Motors, the Oracle tie-up will not only help the company monitor its sales performance more effectively but will also improve collaboration across its dealer network. The company claims that it will be possible only after the modernisation of DMS. Tata Motors’ CIO, Gopinath Jayaraj said, “OCI will help us deliver on our endeavour to include more cloud-native technologies to enable better customer experiences.”
The cloud infrastructure integration will offer some key benefits including multifold enhancement in data reporting which will help the company generate more records per second. The modernisation of DMS will also allow Tata Motors to execute faster data integration.
Moreover, this partnership also aims to provide Tata Motors dealers access to useful information in seconds and help significantly reduce their response time. OCI aims to even assist Tata Motors to scale up its business operations depending on the demand while maintaining its infrastructure.
