Tecno Phantom X2 series launched with retractable rear camera: All the details – Times of India

Tecno has launched its much-teased Phantom X2 smartphone series at an event in Dubai. The series consists of two smartphones — Phantom X2 and Phantom X2 Pro. Both the 5G-enabled smartphones are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. The smartphones run Android 12 operating system and are backed by a 5160mAh battery.
Price and availability
The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro comes in Mars Orange and Stardust Grey colours, whereas the Phantom X2 can be purchased in Moonlight Silver and Stardust Grey colours. The Phantom X2 is priced at $719 (Rs 59,000), whereas the Phantom X2 Pro is priced at $932 (Rs 76,000). The company has not yet revealed details about the India launch of the two smartphones. However, the smartphones are expected to launch in the Indian market by the end of this month.

Tecno Phantom X2 Pro sports a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution.
The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. The smartphone features a double-curved design and houses the world’s first renewable back cover.
Tecno Phantom X2 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM. The smartphone also supports 5GB of virtual RAM and packs 256GB of internal storage.
The mid-range premium smartphone from Tecno runs Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of HiOS 12. Tecno Phantom X2 Pro is the first smartphone of the company to come with a retractable rear camera. The smartphone houses a triple rear camera setup which consists of a 50MP main lens, a 50MP retractable portrait lens and a 13MP tertiary sensor. The 50MP retractable lens works only while you capture portrait shots. Whenever you shoot in portrait mode the 50MP camera pops out. On the front, you will find a 32MP selfie shooter with an adjustable flashlight.
The camera on the smartphone offers multiple shooting modes such as True Optical Bokeh, Super Night, Macro Mode, Panorama and more. The camera on the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro is capable of recording 4K videos.
Tecno Phantom X2 Pro houses a 5160 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The company claims that the smartphone can charge up to 50% in just 20 minutes.

As mentioned above, the Tecno Phantom X2 is also powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. The smartphone offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It also supports up to 5GB of virtual RAM.
Tecno Phantom X2 runs Android 12 operating system and features a 6.8-inch FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. The display is made scratch-resistant with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass Vitus on top.
The 5G smartphone sports a triple rear camera with a 64MP main camera, 13MP wide angle lens and 2MP bokeh camera accompanied with quad flash. The front houses a 32MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture.
Just like the Phantom X2 Pro, the Phantom X2 is also backed by a 5160mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
