Tecno Pova 5 launched in select markets; Free Fire Special Edition also unveiled

Further details such as pricing and availability of the Tecno Pova 5 will be shared with individual markets later. As of now, the brand has confirmed that the special edition phone will be predominantly available in South East Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.

The company is claiming that the device will provide an immersive way to game for fans. Mediatek Helio G99 processor, coupled with the new AI-powered “Aurora engine” delivers “lightning-fast” 39% improved app launch speeds. 8GB physical and 8GB virtual memory allow up to 25 cached apps in the background. It is the first Pova series smartphone with vapour chamber cooling tech for 2x better cooling.

Free Fire Special Edition

• Tecno has also unveiled a Free Fire special edition for Pova 5 smartphone.
• Pova 5’s design is largely based on the popular mobile game’s iconic character, Kelly.
• The special edition device comes with themed app icons, live wallpapers, notification sounds, and ringtones.
• Free Fire stickers and a customised box designed for the special edition smartphone.
• The phone will include a 45W charger, transparent case, and wired earphones in-box.

The new lineup also includes Pova Neo 3 and Pova 5 Pro smartphones. Pova 5 Pro is expected to come with a 7,000mAh battery and 68W fast charging tech but a timeline has not been provided yet. The brand also launched its Tecno Camon 20 Series in India last month.
