Tecno Spark 8C with 90Hz Display, 6GB VRAM and 5000mAh battery launched in India at ₹7,499 | Digit
Tecno offers 6GB of virtual RAM on this phone.
Tecno just bolstered its budget line-up with the inclusion of a new phone called the Spark 8C. The entry-level phone has relatively decent specs such as a 90Hz screen, dual rear camera setup, an octa-core chipset, 6GB of virtual RAM, and a 5000mAh battery. The device is priced at ₹7,499. However, there are some asterisks that you may want to know. Let’s find out what they are.
The Tecno Spark 8C comes with a 6.6-inch 90Hz panel with HD+ resolution, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a waterdrop notch. Within that cutout lies an 8MP selfie snapper. As for the back cameras, there is a 13MP main sensor accompanied by a QVGA sensor. The phone supports camera modes like AI Beauty 3.0, Portrait Mode, Wide Selfie, HDR, Filters, etc.
Spark 8C is powered by an unnamed octa-core SoC that is claimed to have scored 144753 points in Antutu benchmarks. This is paired with the aforementioned 6GB of RAM, of which only 3GB is the actual physical RAM. The rest is virtually sourced/converted from 64GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. Anyway, this so-called Memory Fusion tech might enhance the apparent sense of speed on the phone’s usage. If this feature isn’t available at the time of purchase, it will be rolled out to your device via an OTA update later on.
Other goodies you get with it are a 5000mAh battery with a micro-USB charging solution (charging speed not mentioned), IPX2 splash resistance, up to 256GB of expandable storage option, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Tecno Spark 8C Price and Availability
You can buy the Spark 8C in Black, Purple, Grey, and Cyan colours through Amazon India. The retail price starting February 24 for an introductory time will be ₹7,499. This could change once that duration is over, although the company hasn’t revealed when it would be.
