Players would be excited about Fury, but some may not know that there was quite a bit of controversy attached to his reveal trailer. According to a report by Insider Gaming, the Bandai Namco Europe’s Twitter account posted the trailer earlier than it was intended to be revealed. It was quickly deleted, but once something goes on the internet, it’s never going to be truly removed.
Game director Katsuhiro Harada was genuinely upset about this mishap, per VGC. Harada posted a now-deleted tweet which stated, “what the xxx Bandai Namco Euro”. Harada added, stating he had warned them “years ago not to post on a timer.” He concluded stating that he will be going “home now, thanks! Ha ha ha”.
Michael Murray, the producer for Tekken 8, also took to twitter to apologise to the fans, stating that they were not able to see the character revealed the way him and Harada had intended. Murray also stated that he felt bad for the dev team along with the fans as they “gave up weekends” working on it.
