Tekken 8: Lili Returns as a Playable Character
The latest trailer for Tekken 8 has confirmed Lili as a playable character for the upcoming game. Bandai Namco made the announcement earlier today as it released a gameplay trailer featuring Lili.
Lili, aka Emilie de Rochefort, was first introduced in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. She gained a substantial following since then and became the favourite fighter of a lot of Tekken players as well. Lili has been in all the Tekken games since her debut.
In this trailer, Lili is seen running after her cat Salt before finding herself caught up in two fights with other characters.
After she has dealt with them both, and in some style, her cat returns, and she says, “you’re here to celebrate my victory!” to her cat.
The gameplay trailer is full of Lili’s moves, featuring her fighting style to give players a taste of her abilities. Ever since the announcement, fans have been eager to find out the additions and changes that Bandai Namco has made to Lili in terms of new moves and combos.
There are likely to be more customisation options as well, which players are also curious to find out about.

Bandai Namco has still not revealed the full roster for the upcoming Tekken 8. Lili’s introduction has once again started a conversation in the community, with players trying to figure out who else will be returning to Tekken 8.
Lili’s changes I noticed from the Tekken 8 trailer:
– New homing move comes from running (running 3,4?)
– New string from jabs probably (1,f+2,4)
– New move from snake dash that transition to BT looks like qcf+4
– FR 3 is now homing doesn’t knock down on normal hit

It’s also unclear how many new characters will be debuting in the next major fighting game in the popular franchise.
Tekken 8 release date is still not announced by Bandai Namco, but fans cannot wait much longer for Jun Kazama to return after 25 years as a playable character.
Tekken 8 will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
