Tekken 8 at San Diego Comic-Con

Tekken 8 continues to be one of the most anticipated fighting games of the year, released eight years after the last main instalment. The title will now be presented at the San Diego Comic-Con on 21st July with a panel titled The Art of Fighting. Bandai Namco announced in a blog post on 19th July that Mike Tyson will be headlining the panel, alongside MMA Grand Slam Champion Cris Cyborg, and WWE star Xavier Woods, a.k.a. Austin Creed. They will be accompanied by game director Katsuhiro Harada and producer Michael Murray. Esports shout caster Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez will be moderating the panel.

The panel aims to bring together “real world fighting” and “entertainment fighting worlds,” with the stars talking about the shared themes, evolution of fighting techniques over the ages, both in real and simulation. With these stalwarts of the fighting world presenting Tekken 8 at the San Diego Comic-Con, we are left wondering if they’ll feature in the game as well. Tekken 8 already has a wide roster of fighters, with 16 characters revealed until now. The Art of Fighting panel will take place from 2pm to 3pm PDT on 21st July (2:30 am to 3:30 am IST, 22nd July).
