We already knew that Gen V, The Boys spinoff set at a university for “supes,” would premiere sometime in September. And today, Amazon Studios officially confirmed that the series will premiere on September 29 on Prime Video.
As part of San Diego Comic-Con 2023 news, Amazon Studios revealed that the first three episodes of Gen V will arrive on September 29. The remaining episodes will release weekly, with a season finale scheduled for November 3. Alongside a firm release date, we got a new teaser poster, which you can check out below.
Amazon Studios also revealed that next Monday, the studio plans to share its first official trailer for the show. Set at a fictional Godolkin University, Gen V “explores the training of the first generation of superheroes to know about Compound V” as the students compete in battle royale-esque challenges for the school’s top-ranking.
Gen V was announced back in 2020 when Amazon Studios greenlit a new spinoff series set in The Boys universe. But we did not get its official name until 2022 when Amazon Studios revealed it and described it as “part college show, part hunger games.”
Fans of The Boys will have some new content to sync their teeth into as we patiently await for the fourth season to release.
