IGN’s movie-obsessed sister channel CineFix is launching a brand new show to break down their biggest list yet! Hosted by long-time CineFix guy Clint Gage, along with IGN’s Michael Calabro and Alex Stedman, each episode is an hour’s worth of deep dive into one of the greatest movies of all time.
But who decided these are the Top 100 movies of all time? Well, this time it was math! Clint, Calabro and Alex poured their hearts and souls into making very personal lists of their 100 favorite movies ever. Then their producer Dan decided he wanted in on it too and, after crafting his own top 100 list, wrote an indecipherable black box of an algorithm to smash all four lists together, creating the CineFix Top 100.
If that sounds purposefully confusing, that’s because it is! Even the hosts don’t find out where the movies are on the list until the end of each episode. However the Top 100 was devised, the result is a long list of VERY good movies. Every week the hosts talk about one of them in gory detail with all the familiar CineFix formats. From the behind the scenes practical wizardry of Terminator 2 to Brilliant Moments from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Things You Didn’t Know About Sunset Boulevard, and which Movie Lists Parasite should be on, the CineFix Top 100 covers each film with a cinephile’s eye.
