The ‘end call’ button on your iPhone may soon go some place else

Apple iOS 17: end call button repositioning

  • At present, the “end call” button is distinctly placed apart from other call functions, positioned centrally towards the lower part of the screen.
  • However, with the introduction of iOS 17, the red icon may shift to the right, while other buttons may also move downward to align with it.
  • This was noticed by Gizmodo in the iOS 17 beta 5 version, screenshots of which are below. However, readers should note that since this change has been spotted in the beta version only, there’s a high chance Apple doesn’t actually roll out the change in the stable version that will be available in September.

Apple iOS 17 features

iOS 17 is expected to bring a host of new features to iPhones, and that includes a New Journal app, Live Speech and Personal Voice, Interactive Widgets, NameDrop, Contact Posters, Live Voicemail, Messages app improvements, sticker packs, Health app updates, additions to FaceTime, Standby mode, Keyboard changes, and much more.

Apple iOS 17 launch

The iOS 17 was announced at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) this year. During the event, they showcased the upcoming software’s key features.

Following that, the tech giant promptly made the iOS 17 developer beta available. This allowed developers to install the beta and test their applications on the new iOS version. Roughly a month later, the public beta of iOS 17 was released, allowing anyone to install and explore the update on compatible devices.

However, the stable release of the firmware is anticipated to become officially available to users in September.
