The First Descendant Is Holding Another Beta In August

Nexon Korea has revealed more details on its third-person co-op action RPG shooter The First Descendant, and has confirmed that a cross-platform beta test will be held in August. This new beta will include single-player and cooperative story missions as well as an updated gameplay experience.

At the Xbox Games Showcase Extended, Nexon said that players can expect an updated user interface, several quality-of-life changes, improved game performance, and new giant boss raids against the Colossuses for up to four players.

Additionally, players of The First Descendant will have the opportunity to play as two never-before-seen characters showcased in the new gameplay trailer, Valby and Kyle, who have their own unique skills and abilities. To enter the beta, you can head to Nexon’s webpage and register your interest. The First Descendant Beta will run from August 22-28, and can be played on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles via cross-play.

The First Descendant is set in the world of Albion, which is under siege by alien invaders known as The Vulgus. As one of the empowered Descendants, players will have to fight back against alien armies and the powerful Colossues in strategic boss fights where teamwork and tactics are the keys to survival. Like several other upcoming games, The First Descendant is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, and it is set to launch in Q4 2023.
