Spoiler Warning: There are major spoilers for The Flash ending and post-credit scenes in this article.
The Flash is set to release tomorrow in India and it marks the return of Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as the Batman. There is a lot of action to unfold in the upcoming movie. As is the case with all superhero movies of late, be it Marvel or DC, fans might wonder if there’s a mid-credit or post-credit scene in the movie to stick around for. There is no mid-credit scene in The Flash. Fortunately, there is a post-credit scene in The Flash. Keep reading to know the details about the post-credit scene.
The Flash Post-Credit Scene Explained
Yes, there is one post-credit scene in The Flash and it is not a substantial one. The post credit scene shows Flash and Aquaman walking out of a bar. Barry Allen is trying to carry the drunk Arthur Curry back to his home while also telling him about the events that transpired. It’s clear that Aquaman is in no state to comprehend whatever Barry is saying and he eventually passes out. Barry then leaves Aquaman quite literally with his face in a puddle. There’s nothing major to take from the whole scene which acts more as a comic relief bit rather than something that contributes to future movies.
The Flash Ending Explained
The Flash movie starred two different iterations of Batman, Barry Allen, and a Supergirl from another world, due to The Flash travelling back in time. The movie’s premise is based on the iconic Flashpoint storyline from the comics. Barry Allen travels back in time to save his mother and also clear his father of all charges against him for killing her. While he manages to save her, tapping the Speed Force to reverse time eventually leads to major catastrophic events in the film. Barry Allen later stops himself from altering the timelines and came back to the day of his father’s hearing after making one minor change in the past to help acquit him of all charges.
As The Flash stepped out of the courtroom, he sees Bruce Wayne step out of his car and confront him. While Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen expected to see Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne, he instead sees George Clooney’s version of Bruce Wayne. This ending meant that The Flash did not return to the main DCEU timeline he belongs to. Instead, he found himself in Clooney’s universe.
