The Flash (2023) Has Found a Fan in Horror Author Stephen King

As we’re about a month away from the release of The Flash, the last from the DCEU, the movie has already been screened to a selected audience in Hollywood. Amongst the privileged few, included an unusual face, the legendary horror author Stephen King. The author claims to not care much for superhero movies, but even he has good things to say about The Flash.

On 18th May, the King of Horror took to Twitter to share his thoughts on DC’s upcoming The Flash. He said, “as a rule I don’t care a lot for superhero movies, but this one is special.”. He went on to add that the movie is “heartfelt, funny, and eye-popping. I loved it.”

The tweet has already garnered more than 50,000 likes, and amongst the people responding to it, includes, James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios. Replying to a fan who asked him if it was true that Stephen King had watched the movie and liked it, he wrote, “Hell yes it is.”

James Gunn himself is on a high right now. After the success of his final Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, he has more to look forward to with his upcoming DC reboot. However, The Flash would be marking the end of the Snyderverse, which gave us hits like the Man of Steel, and Justice League. The movie stars Ezra Miller, and will bring back Michael Keaton as Batman and Michael Shannon as General Zod. The Flash is set to release on June 16th.
