The Flash Concept Artist Reveals Unused Suit Concepts for Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton’s Batsuit and Batglider

The Flash released on June 16th, as the concluding film in the Snyderverse. Concept artist Robert Rowley recently shared pictures of the concepts for Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton’s Batman for The Flash. In the first picture we see a different iteration of the Ben Affleck’s Batman suit, which evidently was rejected for the movie.

Concept suits for Batman from The Flash revealed

Rowley shared four different pictures of the Batman concepts from the production. Each features differences in the form of minute details like damage taken, bullet holes and scratches.

The movie ultimately featured a blue version of the suit designed by costume designer Alexandra Byrne. Not to mention that the suit was criticised by fans alongside that of The Flash as a part of the unimpressive CGI as pointed out by fans.

Rowley also shared unused suit concept for Michael Keaton’s Batglider in another post. Keaton reprised his role from Tim Burton’s Batman movies (1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns). Rowley explains that this concept for the Batglider was inspired from a “toy or comic” from the 1990s. The gold colour was a direct adoption from there. He also mentions that this Batglider can be spotted in Batman’s armour room in the film.

After The Flash, DC fans are now gearing for the DC reboot under James Gunn and Peter Safran. The Brave and the Bold will be the next Batman movie as a part of this reboot. However, James Gunn recently said that we are still “miles and miles away” from the casting of the new Batman.
