The Flash Gets a Max Streaming Date, and It’s Not Too Far Away

The Flash will be speeding its way onto Max on August 25, 2023.

Max shared the news on Twitter with a very short message that said, “Worlds collide. #TheFlash will be streaming on August 25 on Max.”

The Flash was released in theaters on June 16, 2023, and we said it was an “ambitious superhero movie that largely pulls off its tale of two worlds, two Flashes, and two Batman.”

In our The Flash review, we also said it “may have an unwieldy third act and indulges in too much unearned fan service, but that doesn’t stop it from being an entertaining and earnest DC superhero film.”

Directed by IT’s Andy Muschietti, The Flash stars Ezra Miller as the iconic DC hero alongside the return of Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Also starring in the film are Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, and Antje Traue

While it received a ton of positive buzz before its theatrical release, The Flash did not have the greatest box office performance. One industry expert even called its $55 million domestic box office debut an “unmitigated disaster.”

When it was all said and done, The Flash earned $108.13 million in North America and $268.53 million worldwide.
