The Last of Us HBO Series Surpasses 10 Million Views in 2 Days; New “The Weeks Ahead” Trailer Released and More
The Last of Us HBO Series has premiered its first episode and fans are already raving about the show. The pilot episode of the video-game adaptation had the second highest debut of the decade for an HBO show, and it beat the likes of Game of Thrones, Chernobyl, Euphoria and more. The series has also become one of the highest rated shows on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes, scoring a rating of 9.4/10 and 99% out of a 100%, respectively.
The Last of Us Series has over 10 Million Views
Even though the series has only released its pilot episode, the show’s racking up views left, right and center. A tweet by popular film and TV news source, DiscussingFilm, states that The Last of Us series has managed to gain 10 million views on HBO and HBO Max, within just two days.

‘The Weeks Ahead” Trailer Released
In other news, the series has just released a new trailer titled, The Weeks Ahead. The trailer kicks off with Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, Tess, played by Anna Torv and Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey, navigating their way through a zombie infested house. We also get to see Ellie closely examining a trapped zombie.
We then get to see glimpses of what fans will get to series in ‘The Weeks Ahead’. We first get to see the aftermath of the impact the Cordyceps has had on the planet, with skyscrapers almost tumbling down. We finally get a brief appearance from one of the most hated infected species from the games, the Clicker. Lastly, we see quick cuts of all the adventures that lie ahead for Joel and Ellie.
The Last of Us Cast Vibing to Old-School Music
We also got BTS action from the cast of The Last of Us, including Pedro Pascal, Gabriel Luna, who plays Tommy and Nico Parker, who plays Sarah, along with the show’s cinematographer Ksenia Sereda, as they vibe to an old school classic, Digable Planets.
The video was posted to Gabriel Luna’s official twitter account, with the caption stating that they were sharing the love of the old-school with the kids. Pascal and Luna think they are “cool” but are unsure whether Parker and Sereda feel the same way. Check out the video below:
