The first season of HBO’s The Last of Us adaptation is getting a Blu-ray release in the summer. Those in the UK can already preorder The Last of Us Season 1, with the full release coming on July 17, 2023.
It will be available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD, and there’s also a unique 4K UHD Steelbook edition up for grabs as well. In terms of pricing, the 4K version will be $50/ £40, while the Blu-ray will be $45/ £30, and the DVD will be $40/ £25.
At the time of writing, preorders are only available on Amazon UK. Moreover, there is currently no news on whether the Steelbook with be available in the US as well. The 4K edition might be of particular interest to those in the UK, of whom many were restricted to Sky’s streaming service Now which has a max 1080p limit.
Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann has also confirmed that the studio has chosen what its next game will be. However, he didn’t reveal whether it was The Last of Us Part 3 or a completely different IP.
For now, fans can look forward to the upcoming multiplayer game, as well as the upcoming PC release of The Last of Us Part 1, which is set to launch on March 28.
