The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom update 1.1.1 patch notes for Switch
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been given a new update by Nintendo. It’s the first major update since the smash-hit Nintendo Switch game launched last week. According to the Tears of the Kingdom patch notes (below), update 1.1.1 fixes an issue with one of the main quests from the campaign. Annoyingly, some players were unable to clear ‘The Closed Door’ mission, even if they’d fulfilled the conditions. If you’ve already encountered the problem, then simply download the update and it should be fixed.
Needless to say, the new Tears of the Kingdom update also makes a host of bug fixes and gameplay tweaks. Check out the patch notes further down the page for more details.
According to Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has enjoyed a record-breaking launch.
The game sold a massive 10 million units in just three days. That makes it the fastest-selling Legend of Zelda game ever, and the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch game in Europe.
The success of the game shouldn’t come as a major surprise, especially given the review scores. Tears of the Kingdom currently has a Metacritic score of 96%, making it one of the highest-rated games ever.
