The much-awaited and talked about Amazon Prime series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is all set to release on the OTT platform on 2 September 2022. This fantasy drama, action, and adventure series is based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel The Lord of the Rings and its appendices. This ‘Lord of the Rings’ prequel series treads the past and is set thousands of years before ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘LOTR’ era. Set in the comparatively peaceful Second Age of Middle-earth, the series showcases all the key events of the pre-LOTR era, such as the forging of the Rings of Power and the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron.
