No release date was given, but we do know, thanks to the film’s poster, that the next adventure will arrive in theaters in 2023 with the tagline, “They’ll die when they’re dead.”

The Expendables 3 was released in theaters in 2014 and, in our review, we said, “It may not be the best Expendable flick, but there’s still fun to be had watching this ensemble kick ass onscreen.”
The first Expendables arrived in theaters in 2010 and brought together an ensemble cast that included some of the greatest action movie stars of all time. There have been talks of spin-offs in the film’s universe, including one centered around Jason Statham’s character that has a working title that includes “Christmas Story.” There are also talks of Stallone reprising his role alongside Schwarzenegger and Tony Jaa.
There were also plans for an all-female film called The ExpendaBelles, but there hasn’t been much news on that front in some time.
The title and cast news for Expend4bles was revealed at Lionsgate’s CinemaCon 2022 panel. For more, check out our look at what the new Roku deal means for future Lionsgate releases.
