The Super Mario Bros. Movie: Fans Complain that Seth Rogen isn’t Putting Enough Effort for the Film

Super Mario Bros., everybody’s beloved title from their childhood days of gaming is finally getting a movie adaptation. The movie has a star-studded cast with Guardians of the Galaxy star, Chris Pratt, playing the role of our favourite Italian plumber.

Moreover the animated movie will feature the likes of Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, amongst others. It is being directed by Aaron Korvath and Michael Jelenic from the Teen Titans Go! series.

Recently, we reported Seth Rogen commenting on DK Rap from Donkey Kong 64, calling it “objectively, one of the worst rap songs of all time.” DK Rap is from the 1999’s Donkey Kong 64, and it will be used to introduce Seth Rogen’s Donkey Kong in the film. Now, new information related Rogen and the movie has surfaced online.

New mages from The Super Mario Bros. Movie premiere have surfaced online. In the images, we see Chris Pratt and Charlie Day with color coordinated suits for their respective characters. Anya Taylor-Joy sports an all-pink outfit for her character, Princess Peach and Jack Black took it one step further by adding Bowser’s shell print on the back of his suit.

However, one character wasn’t trying at all, and fans didn’t seem to be happy about it, as Seth Rogen made his way to the premiere wearing a grey suit, with absolutely no ties to his character. Fans were already disappointed about Rogen portraying the character in his normal voice and now these images have annoyed them even further.
