These Square Enix mobile titles will be shutting down soon – Times of India

Deus Ex Go is a turn-based puzzle title which is also a part of the cyberpunk-dystopian franchise. This game has been developed by Square Enix Montreal and was released for the mobile platform in 2016. Users will no longer be able to access the mobile title in the coming days as the mobile game studio is shutting down. Earlier this year, Square Enix Montreal was bought by the Swedish game company Embracer Group and was later renamed Onoma. The gaming recently took to Twitter to announce that titles including — Deus Ex Go, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows, Space Invaders: Hidden Heroes and Arena Battle Champions will not be accessible after January 4, 2023.

Onoma Studio games: Availability
As per the tweet, the above-mentioned games will be removed from Google Play Store and the Apple App Store on December 1. However, users who already have these games installed on their devices will be able to play them until their final days.
Existing players on opening these titles can find that in-game purchases are no longer available. Moreover, players also won’t get any refunds for unused in-game purchases they will hold before the titles are finally shut down.

Deus Ex Go: More details
In this game, players have to move the series protagonist Adam Jensen between the nodes on a hexagonal grid. These movements help Jensen to hack computers or activate his augmentations.
Square Enix also updated the game with a new feature that allowed players to create personal puzzles and challenges soon after the game was released.
The future of Deus Ex Go
The acquisition of Square Enix Montreal by the Embracer group has led to the shutting down of the mobile title — Deus Ex Go. However, this may not be the end of the game as a new mainstream Deus Ex title is expected to come out in the upcoming days.
According to a report by Endgadget, Embracer also purchased Eidos Montreal as part of the same Square Enix Montreal deal. When the deal was announced, Eidos shared its plans to revive the Deus Ex series. More recent rumours suggest that the upcoming game is already in its early development stage.
