This game has grown by 80,000 players each day since going free-to-play – Times of India

Krafton officially announced PUBG: Battlegrounds as a free-to-play game in January. The company has revealed that since then the title has consistently seen a “steady inflow of more than 80,000 new users per day.” Krafton has detailed the figures in the company’s preliminary earnings announcement for the first half of 2022.
In a blog post, Krafton has also shared that the average revenue per user (ARPU) across all platforms has “increased more than 20% QoQ.” The company also noted that international markets outside of South Korea accounted for “94% of PUBG’s revenue during Q2 2022.”
The blog also mentions that Krafton’s multiple IP collaborations help the company to provide new content and fresh gameplay experiences. Moreover, the game has also adopted stricter anti-cheat programs “to ensure a fairer playing field for all.”

Other announcements made by Krafton
As per the blog PUBG “currently ranks second in sales among global mobile games” which has helped drive the company’s mobile business revenue to $550.7 million.
Apart from the earnings announcement, Krafton has also discussed some of Krafton’s upcoming games in the blog. A new Unknown World IP that will be set in a “sci-fi world that features imaginative turn-based gameplay,” is under development.

Furthermore, the company is also working on the title The Callisto Protocol which is being developed by Striking Distance Studios and is set to launch on December 2.
Along with that, Karfton is also developing a currently untitled game project which is based on the Korean fantasy novel, The Bird That Drinks Tears.
